Creaking weather strip
Does anyone else have this problem?
I have a 2014 GL550 with 7500 miles on it.
The weather strip around the doors seems to be making a constant creaking/rustling noise. It's not a rattle so not as annoying but still it should not make this type of noise. Is this typical MB quality? Of course when it rains, there is less creaking due to the moisture on the rubber so I armor alled all rubber strips which made it better but as soon as it dries out the rustling comes back.
If this is typical, this will be my first and last MB.
Your experiences and solutions would be appreciated.

There's another thread on this where one person fixed it with chapstick. Mine just started doing it at 10k miles and I'm taking it in to get fixed in a couple weeks, will make them put in new weatherstripping or whatever it takes.

Well blittle, I just searched the forum and found your original thread. That's very interesting. I'll see what the dealer does when the car goes in for its first service next week. I requested for them to look at the creaking and chaterring wipers. If they don't do anything, what do you think of Vaseline?
