add coolant
Has anyone else experienced needing to add coolant to their vehicle? This has happened about three times already. Do these engines burn coolant or is it leaking somewhere? No signs of leakage on the garage floor or staining in the engine bay.

The factory can ship to dealer a touch low - which "nomrally" gets topped up at delaer new car inspection - when that is "missed" if required at inspection - leads to 1st time report...
If you have gotten a low coolant alert 2nd/3rd time - then yes that would be abnormal - or the sensor needs to be recalibrated.
With a GL63 - frankly I'd get the puppy into service.. I expect it won't be a "big" thing - but please give them the opportunity to be thorough

I've received the alert 3 times, and I've added coolant all three times. No visual signs of leakage under the hood or any abnormal smells, but it's going somewhere.

I have a 2013 450....got the alert, went to the dealer....they said the system is VERY sensitive and subject to "variation" because the same resevoir is used by the main cooling system AND the turbo cooling system. As far as the GL63 goes.....not sure. But.....after they topped off my system , it never came back.

Check coolant level message...
Just got that same alert to check coolant level.... Is there any specific coolant I should use on my 13, 450? Rather than go to the dealer and waste two hours I'd just buy a bottle myself and top it off...
