2014 GL550 windshield crack

2014 GL550 windshield crack
It's about 19 degrees F and took the GL550 out for errands. While underway the windshield developed a crack starting at about the left side washer jet. One of the options I ordered is heated washers-could the heated water cracked the windshield?
Anyone else with this issue?

I'll call the dealer Monday and then deal with insurance company-the 550 has acoustic glass in front which is probably expensive.
Also, had to replace windshield on previous vehicle-Land Cruiser-and poor installation led to a lot of wind noise. That troubles me as the 550 is very quiet.
