Been Shopping
Test drove an $80K '15 GL450 yesterday and 1st impressions were:
Great looking +
Highway cruiser +
Numb Steering -
Floaty suspension/bouncy -
Complicated electronics -
Comfortable seating +
Lots of room behind 2nd row +
Can make a decent deal +
Didn't know much about the GL's, but joined MB World back in '07 to learn about then new GL.
Back to now & read about Active Curve & Off road pkgs. Those options would seem to take care of the
marshmallow handling & maybe tighten up the steering (?).
Time takes time in learning the electronics.
Doing a vehicle search, no vehicles w/those options to test (or purchase).
Previous forum posts confirmed low demand & not many made, so no surprise there.
Reluctant to special order a car w/o a test drive. That's just me.
Fortunately I'm not a "need" buyer, but once I put
the hunting wheels in action, tough to hold back.
MB World "prices paid" threads keep the dealers honest - that's great!
