2014 GL550seat issue
On holiday in FL and took GL to wonderful car wash. After complete detailing, the drivers seat (front/back) no longer works. The setback and headrest work fine.
Will locate dealer but curious if any members have thoughts on this situation.
Thanks

No idea but if they were blasting water around the car, chances are water entered the door trim and maybe shorted out something. Let it dry out and check the fuse(s). The module I'd think should be weather sealed but you never know.

Perhaps they accidentally knocked off the fore/aft button on the door and did not replace it correctly? I say this because I have swapped out my black buttons for the matte silver ones. When I put on the new fore/aft button I did not have it lined up correctly. It would move back and forth but the seat would not move. Removed and repositioned it correctly and all was good. Just a thought.

Looked under seat for any wiring that may have become loose while carpets vacuumed at car wash-nothing obvious. Tried button to see if it was loose.
Took it to MB Naples, FL -spending month + in FL. They said I would need to make appointment-tech unable to even peek at it. Next appointment in a week. Loaner may not be a MB and not sure how long they would need to keep car as it is "peak season". Could be several days.
I'll drive home with seat all way aft.
Take it to selling dealer. Learned lesson.
