A comparison....

There was a recall up for the new Escalades.
The guys at the Cadillac forum are figuring out the issues with the new one since it's the first years of the redesign. Hopefully the next year model make so more sense and they add more stuff to it as well.
Oh and get this...2 days no call from the salesman - admittedly he knew we were leaving on vacation and he didn't have the vehicle on the lot so I guess we were irrelevant for another two weeks. BUT - I called tonight to see if he had located a unit he could trade for and he tells me yes and that it was 650 miles away and they would drive it down. I said WHOA... You mean they are hauling it down right - not going to put 650-700 miles on a $95,000 car and sell it as new right? He says er uh no they are going to drive it down. Dude was a bit clueless that it might even be important. I left it as anything over 25 miles is unacceptable and I'd be happy to wait for new production to come in late July / early August or grab my deposit back.

Geez, that saleman might have poor choice of words or just being a really bad saleman. I, personally, wouldn't accept anything over 15 miles. Once you get it, do a full inspection of the car, like the driving wise, wheels, check the handsfree liftgate, check the camera system and the sensors. If it doesn't meet the standards, ask for the refund and take your business elsewhere and they should refund it.
Yeah, most of the people go to really small Cadillac dealers instead of the really big and well reputable Cadillac dealers. I can understand the frustration because I used to live in a city where the was a Cadillac dealership but didn't get a lot of the top trim level. Lot of times the small dealers don't get news about the updates or bulletins on the changes needed. Another thing is that people don't want to go far from home. I learn that lesson the hard way and started buying them in places like Tampa, Orlando, and St. Pete. So far the dealer at St. Pete was top notch and did everything to the best standards despite the warranty issues.
My dad got the 2015i ESV, and got the transmission ujoint fixed and getting the cameras updated as well. I might be looking into a 2016 with the new updates if there is any good deals. Otherwise I am good with my 2013 Platinum ESV.

There is a Cadillac tech there, he knows about that more than anyone else does which is a plus.
If you need any help, PM me.
