Suspension q

Parked my GL550 on a slight incline, went to check the front right wheel as I had hit a typical NY pothole. No damage to wheel/tire, but as I was examining it, the suspension settled quite a bit - I'd say an inch or so. I could hear the air being released. Is that normal? I've never noticed it do that before. The car was in sport mode - I had not changed the suspension setting.

The suspension on the GL uses pressurized air bags instead of steel springs (i.e. Airmatic). It's simply some air being released from the system.

Totally normal.

Hmmm... what if only the front suspension goes all the way down? I suppose that's abnormal? But if I leave the suspension in raised level I don't hear this hissing sounds and the height stays raised. Could that indicate a leak then?
