Coolant level low
Got a 2014 GL550. 6000 miles.
Yellow, check coolant level message just popped up. Find it very weird, and wanted to find the coolant reservoir. Couldn't locate it. What should I do?
This should be under warranty right? Like I am not responsible to top off my coolant within warranty period right?

Sounds odd to me that the coolant level would be low on a vehicle driven 6K miles - if you find the reservoir, you may want to just visually confirm that it is/is not low, but not add fluid. Either way, I would take it to the dealer - if it's low, you may have a leak of some kind. If not low, then you likely have an issue with the coolant level sensor. Just my thoughts.

We had it too at around 5,000 miles. This has been discussed before. The sensor for the coolant level on the GL is pretty sensitive. I just topped off the coolant and the light went away. Make sure to check the coolant level for the turbo cooler also. I'm not sure about the 550 but I'm assuming that it is the same setup as the 450 since they are both turbo charged. You have to take off the engine cover, which comes right off by pulling on it. This is all assuming that there is no leak in the system.
If you don't want to deal it with yourself, just take it into the dealer. I personally don't like wasting my time at the dealership though they do offer good coffee and tea.

Same thing happened on our GL350 at about the same milage. It took all of five minutes for the dealer to add a splash and send my wife on her way.
Based on the reports on this forum it sounds like a common occurrence when the trucks are new.
