I would target 10% off MSRP as a really good deal although I have seen people get as much as 12%.
Of course it depends on where you are and how badly they want to sell one more car.

The other thing that has meaning is the specific's of warranty coverage - since as CPO that would kick in Unlimited Mileage Certified Warranty for 5yrs from original in-service date in the Mercedes VMI - in CPO that means in addition to balance of 50K mile new car warranty from original service date - when that new car warranty expires (whether by miles or time whichever comes 1st) - CPO kicks in that will expire ONLY based on 5yrs from original in-service date - and if planning long term hold - CPO warranty can be extended now or later more affordably than extending new car warranty.
On a new 2016 GL350 - yes you can shoot for 5% discount on a in-stock rig - which would have 50K/4yr Mercedes new car warranty - when shopping a specific rig out-of-area - a LOT of hassle can be solved if you commit to MBFS financing or lease up front - cash/cash buyer's kick-in Mercedes oversight on the anti-export stuff out-of-market.
