Tire pressure warning message?

My 2014 GL450 pops up tire pressure message as below, since nearest dealership is 45 minutes away, I want to see if I can adjust the pressure myself. Please advise. Thanks!

Factory recommended pressure is 33 all tires. Yours is too much already. Just reset the system and drive to your dealership or any other location, which can check your tires.

But earlier it was 41/42/42/42, with only yellow on front doors. This is after I went to Costco and the technician said the range on the fuel door says 32 PSI minimum, 44 PSI maximum, so he set them at 36 PSI. But now all 4 numbers are showing as red...

You should set the tire pressure on cold tires then once you begin to drive you can reset the tire pressure monitor. Have you had a temperature drop recently? Most likely since all tires are within the same range but just lower it is a temp change situation (unless all 4 have a leak at the same time which is unlikely). If you have a leak/nail in a tire only one will drop. Looks like you just need to reset the air pressure when the tires are cold and you should be good to go for a while. You usually need to adj air pressures about once to twice per year depending upon climate.
Good luck. Keep us posted

Thanks, guys! Went to Dealer in the morning, set to 38/38/38/38 before I finished my coffee. Was told no need to make appointment for such tiny problem, just drive in and done.

Does anyone know how altitude affects the tire pressure? I live at 7000' and drive to sea level a couple of times per week. The readout on the dash is ok at sea level, but does not reflect the actual pressure, from a gauge, at altitude.

It's an electronic glitch. It happened to me a bunch of times. I keep driving it and went back to normal. I told the dealer about the glitch and they took care of it.
