I have not seen anything, that would force me to even think about selling my 2015 GL350 and get 2017 model. As expected - it's redesign, nothing radically changed, which is a good thing for us and whatever is changed looks good. I'll wait for 2019/2020 new model. For the people who lease it - welcome to the era of even higher monthly payments

I'm with you on this. The redesign is nice but not putting the current iteration into the past or making the consumer feel they're missing out on something. The Mercedes logo projecting from the mirrors to the floor is nice but that projector has been an after-market feature on eBay for quite some time. The nine-speed is the best part IMO but at the same time, there's nothing wrong with the seven-speed right now. I'm also not in love with the new front end and the star on the front grill is HUGE, and I'm not sure why Mercedes' chief designer is adamant in carrying over the front end from the A-Class all the way up to the S- and GL(S)-Class. They're all starting to look the same where as for a while, each Mercedes had a its own unique, ambiguous style and look to them. In the end though, if I was a brand new customer to the GL, I'd take a '17 in a heartbeat.
