Thanks in advance.

Sbarsap,

I had my X5 done by SSP before I learned how to do it myself.
It was abut three years ago, so I'm not sure if they still do this.

Here's their contact info. Talk to Jeremy.

Changes I have done since these photos were taken, is having done the wheels powder coated satin black, and also changed out the rear badges with black variants for a permanent solution. I have also plasti-dipped the roof rack, completing the look.

i heard PD is not ideal? They come off over time? Is this true?

Do you think PD would suffice?

If you take the time to clean and prep beforehand, and use around four coats, you should be good for a while, barring something scraping / scratching the finish.
The caveat is that on smaller pieces like badges, it will last much less. Small raised letters/emblems specially. I keep a can or two around to touch up areas that rub off. On the flip side, the areas on the rear bumper, front bumper, and exhaust, look like day one.
Pretty flexible product, and if you get sick of it you can always remove it, change color, etc.
