Looking between GL350 and 450
Exhaust Valve Replacement on 2014 GL450
I'm in the market for a 2014 GL350 or 450. I came across a GL450 with ~40k miles and the features I like. I noted on the CarFax it said it had a repair last year that required the removal of the engine. I called the MB dealership that performed the service and learned they had "replaced the exhaust valves". The service rep couldn't give me any more information.
My Question: Is this something that should rightfully scare me off this car? Is this something that would lead to other problems?
My intent if purchasing was to purchase the car with an extended warranty and keep the car ~5 years. Would really appreciate any advice especially from those with knowledge of the engine and this repair.

If this GL is being sold by a MB dealer as Mercedes Certified - then worth a look.
If this GL is being sold by Private Party or non-MB dealer - or by a MB dealer not MB Certified - then run away and don't look back !
