not sure if it's the same, but on my 2013 GL450 it's just a matter of a few nuts and torx screws to remove the filter box under the hood. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes

Now you will say, all well and good ,but how do I remove the glove box--for that you either find the youtube vid or find AR6810P1400GQ removal doc!!

Failing all that------see a repair shop(2hr labor) and spend time with the wife and kids!!
Thanks for the response removing the glove box looks simple enough acroding to the videos but I have one question dose the gl350 have a cabin air filter

2014 GL 350
I just did the filter replacement this past weekend. Took me 5 minutes. The important thing is when looking at the filters (and the video states this), the left hand side filter element comes out last, and goes in first.

In the filter housing of my GL350, the left hand side filter elements slides into some kind of (horizontal) protruding spindles located in the filter housing. The filter element itself has those two holes, that lines up with the spindles.
So, first place the filter element in the right hand slide slot, and then slide the element to the left and the spindles line up nicely with the holes in the element.
The right hand side filter element doesnt have any protruding spindles to align with, so it just slides in, and sits.

It was NOT a struggle or a pain once I saw the spindles, and lined up the element with it. Very Easy DIY!
