[FONT="Comic Sans MS"][SIZE="7"]I own a 2009 GL320 with 100K miles, with running boards and Package 1, and I would like use it as a trade-in. Dealer is wholesaling it and offers me $15,000. The new (2015) GL350 lists at $75,565.00. Dealership is reducing the price to $65,000.00. I would pay $50,000.00 plus tax, title, licence or around $53,000.00.
This GL is a CPO. Is this a great deal? Any suggestions? My concerns are that it doesn't have the lighted running boards, or the 3rd row air conditioning. I really wants those two options.
Please give me advice and opinions. Thanks

If you really need those options, keep looking. It's a pain to retrofit the lighted running boards and practically impossible to retrofit the 3-zone AC.
But if this is the truck that you can live with, I'm confident you can get a the dealer to go lower. If not, then definitely keep looking (IMHO).

Thanks. I can live without those options, I just love a great deal. It sounds like this is more of an okay deal.

I own a 2015 GL 350 and love it. The car you reference is now almost two model years old and is a used car! At the very most it's worth high $50's. Model year 2015 CPO's around here are priced mid to high $50's. Normal depreciation on a two year old should put this vehicle in the $55 to $60k range.
And, if it does not have the options you want......keep shopping. You really don't want to buy a car for $50k and be constantly wishing it had an option that you cannot add.

Use edmunds as a 3rd party value guide for the 2015 GL350 - and note the Certified Value..
My opinion - the dealer is leaving the 15 value "inflated" a bit so you won't be embarrassed on the true market value of your 2009..
Buy the rig at the rioght price - and if you are strong the value of your 2009 - then sell it on your own..
