Ad-Blue pump going bad?

I wanted to ask this question as my husband keeps getting worried about this topic. He has heard that the GL diesels are having issues with the ad-blue pump going bad and failing. Apparently it is costing $7000 or so. He has also heard this about Jeep Grand Cherokee diesels, and Chevy diesels using the ad-blue.

Just curious if anyone has had this problem in their GL350's. I have a '14 GL350 with 60,000 miles and had heard some go out at 70K miles. I hope this is not true as I am hoping to keep this vehicle for a while!

I hope you got the extended warranty. Unfortunately, GL350s are notorious for issues with age including Adblue pumps. Oil leaks.

Yes I have an extended warranty only to 7 years/100K miles. Yikes...was hoping the pump failure was not true. Thanks for your response!
