Towing question

I plan to buy a trailer to haul BMW M3 coupe to racing events. A friend of mine says I have to get a trailer with brakes installed. But, I checked some trailers on craigslist and most of them have no brakes. So, how crucial is to have brakes on trailer?

I would hope more experienced reply - for car/trailer tow - "most" would have race trailer w/brakes and use a brake controller in the tow vehicle - and use "wireless" brake controller..

Completely agree! I'd never tow a trailered vehicle without having brakes on the trailer. Brake controllers are easily installed and effective.
