Center console - arm rest tab broken?
Anyone have any instructions on how to gain access to this tab? I can see it recessed, I think the spring broke or fell off. I pulled the rubber mat off and removed the two hex bolts, which allowed me to pull the front inside felt panel away. This did not allow me to access the latch assembly.

Same thing happened to me. The tab was recessed but there's no way to get at this I believe. My entire console had to be replaced (but was under warranty). Hope you are too.

My arm rest tab is also broken on my 2015 GL450. I called the dealer and was told this wouldn't be covered under warranty unless it's a manufacture defect. Has any one had this replaced under warranty as simple wear and tear or is my dealer correct?

too funny, yet Annoying AF ... 2 days ago, I'm like WTF ... yep right side won't stay shut and don't see the "tab" anywhere ... was thinking of getting some magnetic strips as a fix until the ahem, next trip to the dealership for the next problem ... ughhhh

This just happened to us this weekend. Its the right side that won't stay closed as well. We just moved to Savannah and I asked the parts guy at the dealership. He said it's almost $500 to replace the entire arm rest. My husband said we will just use a 'string' to keep it closed. (Emoji with hand covering my face) Does anyone know what the warranty duration is for that? I can't imagine it would be covered on my 2015

I just called the dealer in KY where I bought the car and they said MB would never cover this repair on my 2015 with over 90,000 miles. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, I am open to hear them!

AFAIK, in the UK wear and tear items are only covered under the original manufacturer's warranty that runs for 3 years I think. When you get into the realms of extended warranty (even with MB), wear and tear issues that are non-electrical or non-mechanical no longer covered.

LOL, test drove a GL450 in Idaho Falls with this problem. Greasy kid salesman said they'd have it fixed immediately if we were interested!
