Advice/assistance in replacing my 2014 GL 450
Thank you advance for your time and any advice that you can pass along.
I have a 2014 CPO GL 450 that I purchased in late May of 2016. Since, I have owned the car, it is has been into the dealer for repairs 10 times. Most of the visits have involved multiple days. I estimate that the total time it has been in service exceeds 45 days. In addition, there have been several days where I have been driving the car with issues that have not yet been resolved.
I filed a complaint with MB USA and have been speaking with them for the last several weeks. They initiated a review to see if the car was eligible for repurchase. It was determined that the car was not eligible for repurchase under the lemon laws of the state where the car was purchased. However, it was determined that the issues were due to the actions of the previous owner as well as a unsatisfactory CPO inspection performed by the dealer where I purchased the car. I was offered small discounts for purchasing another CPO or new 450. I have not yet received a trade offer for my current 450 so I can't yet make a decision about what direction I want to go.
I am frustrated with the response from MB USA. I may ultimately have to pursue legal action to resolve this, but my preference is to find a replacement vehicle and get the best deal possible. Any suggestions on how to approach this?
Thanks again.
Michael
