Hi,

Is there any way to completely turn off the power in my 2014 GL550 after turning off car? My kids keep watching DVD even though car is off. I tried to open and close doors with my key fob but DVD still keeps on. It lasted more than one hour!!!. I can use DVD remote controller to turn off power of DVD, but I'd like to know if there is any way to disconnect power of rear DVD without remote controller.

I don't know since I'm new to having the DVD option but does it turn off if you lock the doors with the key fob remote?

That is what I expected. No.. it only lock the door and dvd in rear side keeps on.
Fortunately, I could start my car even if my kids watched DVD for 1.5 hour.

What about powering off the head unit?

No it didn't work. When I opened door, command center turned off. But rear dvd was still on.

When I turn the car off and open the driver door, the rear monitors display a message stating the car is off asking if they want to continue watching. If you don't respond everything turns off within 10 seconds or so. I have a 2014 GL350, maybe they changed the setup in the other GL models?

Now, I got it... It was my Kid's fault. They seemed to respond to keep watching in monitor message when I open the driver door. I feels that I am dumb
