NOX Sensor Bypass X166

Hi,

I recently had a CEL on my 2013 GL350 with AMG package (CDN) and since the vehicle is over its warranty I decided to purchase a Creader V111

http://www.mercedesmedic.com/best-obd-2-can-scanners-for-car-diagnostics/

the code reads heat sensor B1 S1 and the dealership indicates I should replace both NOX sensors at a price of $2600.

I am now looking into purchasing a NOX sensor bypass but have had no success in finding anyone who has used this on a GL350. Your thoughts and input is great.

Thanks for your input however we only have 1 Mercedes dealership where I am from and that is it. Nobody else services Mercedes here so that is the first problem I am faced with.

The scanner purchased is actually nice compared to the other ones I have used. Not only is one of the top rated for Mercedes, but for Euro vehicles which scans not only engine codes but SRS and transmission as well.

However, being a diesel truck owner myself (I have deletes on all my trucks) I was hoping someone on this forum would have knowledge or know of someone who has done this with a GL350. There are lots of sprinter vans out there with the delete so just curious if anyone has done it on a ML or Gl diesel.

A gaggle of MB's
There would be a question if the Sprinter/basic-Bosch emulator will be compatible with the GL350 - but since emulators are like $40 - heck - it's up to you !

NOX sensors are Bosche - and about $300 ea - so I understand where you're coming from.

That said - I am not a fan of over riding legitimate pollution controls - VW paid $2B+ - so what are you going to pay to be fair ?

I paid my share when I bought the gl350😀

There are are a couple of companies that have emulators so I will give it a shot.
