Hi all

Would like some help with a couple of noises in my new to me 13 model GL63 please. First is a low volume but quite high pitch whine / scream when I turn the steering wheel to the right, so right hand down on my UK vehicle. Only does it turning right and as soon as I start to turn back to center it stops the noise, any idea?

Second noise is in the left hand, passenger to me, front seat. It rattles a lot, I put my hand in between the headrest post and wobbled the seat around and can hear that its in the seat base, more towards the right leg area if I were sat in the seat. Its silent when the seat is occupied and adjustment makes no difference, its annoying as hell.

I have an ML63 166 a few months back and the drivers seat clunked badly, MB wouldn't / couldn't fix, are these AMG seats badly designed or something?

I believe the low volume whine you are hearing is the power steering pump. I get that sound only when I am turned all the way to the right.

Is the noise from the pump normal or should it be checked?

I believe that it is probably normal. Or within MB spec.
