2016 MB SUV electronic hand brake not releasing
What is anyone's experience with the above intermittent fault.
What was the repair solution offered or carried out?
The problem presented (intermittently) generally after being stationary for a few days in the garage.
The staring procedure all worked.
Placing the car into reverse and light accelerator to back out resulted in no movement. Tried going forward. No movement. Tried rolling back / forward in Nutella. No movement.
I thought the hand brake had disengaged ok prior to this above activity.
Road side service identified it as the handbrake not electronically disengaging.
He freed it by higher acceleration in reverse and it "clunked" out quite loudly.
Bit concerned about it happening again
Any advice or contact would be appreciated
It's going in for first year service next week.

Mention this on your annual service - but frankly if "sitting" for several days YES the automatic release for the parking brake will take more effort/acceleration and is not comfortable for most.
After sitting for several days - I suggest you PULL the parking brake release which will positively release the electronic parking brake.
