pothole damage

so ran over a pot hole and got a bulge on my '14 GL350. need a new tire ($596) and took it to dealership. they came back saying the rim is damaged as well and new one costs $1400 plus tax.... its the AMG edition 21". they did however said, that they could rotate it back and put the new tire on the rim but that would have roadforce of 80 (no idea what that means). but that might mean some vibrations felt in the cabin....

so your recommendations ?

on GLC300 #2, a 2022 CPO purchased b/c I really dislike the X254's UI (GL350 before those)
Glad I have a wheel and tire policy even with mere 20's!
What little I know suggests that wheel with imperfection, out of round or such, will manifest as a low speed vibe issue more than would a perfect wheel with an imperfect tire. Road force that high will affect higher speeds vibe more than low. In theory, you'll have one bouncing wheel, more or less depending upon what wheel damage form you have.
That tire price is high, but CAN pricing does not compare well to US. Did you shop it? Visiting US soon?

I live pretty close to Niagara falls,NY and usually go there once a month. I could look up there however, found a used RIM in Toronto for 1/10 the price .... leaving my car at the dealer for the week and picking up the rim on Saturday. I did have tire & wheel coverage on my Passat but not sure if they added on to this. I will check with them.
