Burning smell

Burning smell
My wife noticed a strong burning smell coming from the engine compartment on her 2015 GL350. I didn't see anything unusual when searching with a flashlight. From what I can tell, the smell seems to be coming from the air intakes or right above the radiator. She did mention that she may have parked close to a bush. Could this simply be pollen or dust being sucked in during start up? Otherwise, the car seems to be running fine, besides an occasional whiff of antifreeze after driving the car. Just wondering if these two things could be related. Is there a separate coolant reservoir for the turbo's that I should be checking?

Status Update
Today, after she drove around this morning, the smoke smell seems to have gone away. It may have been something that got into the engine bay and eventually burned off. Weird.
