Does anyone know what's needed to run 550 wheels

After some searching I found out I can run without spacers.the truck will just look a little more aggressive, but shouldn't be a issue. Also with the spacers on you would definitely have to do the fender flares because it would be more wider and the wheels would stick out a lot. What I understand.

I was wondering if the stock GL550 wheels & rims would fit on my GL350 and now I'm wondering if the GL63 is the same offset and will those work too??

X164 GL550 Wheels
Older Generation AMG wheels on X166.
I found that Tires and wheels were a challenge with a learning curve (as with most things MB) when there is short supply of OEM and little tire choice with 21s, especially for winter. Sounds like everyone likes the Michelin Product; I was going to buy some Continental UHPs and have a "meatier" set for winter with the Pirelli P zeros reserved for summer (which are a flatter tread design in my estimation and useless on ice and snow esp. when they get worn a bit). So I bought myself a set of the Borbet wheel from the GL550 X164. This is Part Number A1644017002. Really expensive to buy anything resembling new; they are a bit curb scraped but fine for winter and still (in my opinion) look pretty good. The overall objective was to preserve my twin 5 spokes that came on my X 166. By the way in my travels I found the other 5 spoke Spec Wheel with the offset knife blade looking thing (only an option for the GL63) in the X166 generation was quite rarely seen. Happy travels.

The GL 63 and GL 550 X166 have the exact same wheels unless the buyer ordered a different option. I'm selling a near perfect set of OEM 21" 550 wheels from a X166 550 - with 90" tread continentals - check my thread
