My nearby MB dealer is quoting for pre paid maintenance for $1700 for the next 3 years. My vehicle is 2015 GL 450 around 40k miles.

If without prepaid maintenance

A - 40k miles service - $880
B - 50K miles service - $1069
C - 60K miles service - $1791

so the above three comes out to $3750. Of coz, getting prepaid maintenance for $1700 is definitely cheaper which saves me some money.

Is $1700 to much? Can I buy prepaid from another dealer across the country for cheaper?

I'd shop it around. I just saved over $1k shopping Mbenz dealerships for a Extended Limited Warranty. Try Mr. Jackson at Tafel Motors in Louisville, KY

Pre-paid maintenace and extended warranty are two different things.

A new 2017 car's prepaid maitenance for three years is $1475. I think $1700 for a two year old car is reasonable. Very reasonable.

Never said they were the same thing. Point is that it pays to shop around dealer to dealer!

so I called Taffel motors..Jeff Jackson quoted me $1400 so saved about $300..thank you for the information.
