Been trying to do research on the exhaust components for a 2013 GL550. I *think* the front is the muffler and the big box near the exhaust tips is the resonator, but not 100% sure.

Asking because I want to delete the resonator to give it a better growl - I deleted the resonator and installed a x pipe on my CLS550 and it's night and day difference in how good it sounds.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

I've seen that, thank you. It's either 12 or the front part of 7, but they both say muffler?

Any done any exhaust swap/mods and would know? Google hasn't helped on this one.

#7 on the diagram is the resonator and #12 is the muffler.
