2013 GL550 Dead Battery
For a couple weeks now the wife has been saying she'll hear the car "lock" the doors every 3-5 minutes while driving. I kind of blew it off to be honest.
Fast forward two weeks later (yesterday) and we get the family in the car to leave and the vehicle is dead. Haven't messed with the battery other than removing the negative terminal briefly recently. Weird thing is that no battery/charging system lights were lit up previously. Of course the battery is a PITA to get to and I'm having trouble removing the vent on top of the battery.
Is there a common issue with the locks trying to lock continuously? Has anyone seen this before?
Also, is it possible to charge the battery with a slow charger (1.1A) using the jump start terminals?
Would prefer to change the battery out myself if I can remove the vent on top of the battery, but not if something is drawing current all the time. As far as I know it's the original battery.
