Connecting a power inverter to jump start terminals?
Does someone know what the size of connection between the battery and the jump start terminals is? I'm assuming "big", but I'd like to know. Presumably the negative connection is via the frame and the positive connection is one or two large wire(s)?
Specifically I'd like to sometimes connect a 1000W inverter (not permanently wired in), to power some appliances (including one high-wattage appliance) when camping and in other similar situations. And I'd prefer to not have to cut the carpet to install it (insert standard complaint about battery location)!
I'm considering using a 1/0 6 foot cable with alligator clips (like the one in the AIMS site), over spec for the 1000W inverter (designed for 2500W), but perhaps appropriate given the added internal cabling.
