2017 GLS 450 - No Rear Seat Entertainment
Hey Guys,
Newbie here, so please be gentle. LOL
Just got my wife the 2017 GLS 450 and this one isn't pre-wired for the rear seat entertainment. Does anyone know how difficult it is to retro fit one (manufacture tvs)?
Thanks in advance.

Frankly - in today's day/age most turn to hanging iPads - using headrest holders from Amazon - some old techies use "DVD players in a bag"
1. With pre-wiring - the original MB Factory install equipment which runs up to the front head unit is possible - but dealer install is pricey like at/around $3,500-$4K. This gives driver ability to have source control and play over system speakers.
2. With pre-wiring - it is also possible to add Mercedes Accessory Rear Entertainment - which looks similar but not identical to Factory Install Equip - which does NOT run to front head unit - has source on each rear unit - and plays thru headphone
3. Without pre-wiring - not possible to link to head unit - so any system installed in rear are independent of front/master system
