GL 550
in need of help on this headlight issue

I purchased a headlight for my 2014 GL 550 (x166) it has the adaptive headlights and now that theyre installed the amber LED eyebrow doesn't turn on, would I be able to replace just the strip? Please help me out

Did you purchase the correct headlight? There are two different types you can narrow down by the amber reflector. European (and worldwide market) headlights are white.

If it is indeed correct you might want to check the wire harness. See if anything is cut or unplugged.

Lastly headlights are sold as a complete assembly, there is no possibility of ordering a sub-component of a headlight. If the diode is burned out it will be very difficult to replace it.

Are all of the other lights working? It may have to be programmed. Yes you cannot change that light separate from the headlamp unit. It could also be a module issue, was there any corrosion in any of the modules that you swapped over?

Yes! that is what it was, we swapped the module from the left side which was the original one from the car to the new headlight and it did turn on, I'll take the module to the dealer and get it programmed. Thank you!

Which module did you replace? Is it the one under the headlight housing or the side one?
