2015 GL450 slight rattle and shudder when going over bumps
I purchased a 2015 CPO GL 450 with the appearance package in Oct last year. Tires on the car are Michelin LTX Premier. 20inch. The tread depth is at 4/32 inch. The tires were replaced at 22k miles, currently I have 38K miles on them.
No issues when driving on the highway.
My dealer advised me to change the tires but I am not sure that is the cause
Any else I need to get checked. Also what is the best tire rated for comfort and long life? It seems that the Michelin's don't last too long.

I think it could be a suspension issue. My other car a Lexus RX feels solid over speed bumps and potholes. No shudder or rattles anywhere. I will have the dealer check it out next time I go in.

I have a 2015 GL450 (purchased in January 2018), that has a similar issue; creaking noise coming from the front driver's side suspension when going over speed humps. The vehicle is currently at the dealer. They suspected front axle bearings, even though I mentioned that I can feel it coming from the suspension. The issue persisted after they replaced the front axle bearings. I went on a test drive with the lead mechanic and was able to reproduce the sound. Lead mechanic suspects the noise is coming from the strut and/or the sway bar ends. He also thought he heard a slight clunk which he suspects is bad engine mounts.
I'm, hopefully, picking up my GL tomorrow and I can give an update soon after.

I would be looking at worn ball joints, tie rod, and front sway bar.

I said the same thing. The dealer said they couldn't replicate the issue. Lubed the suspension and I don't hear the noise anymore. I suspect the noise will be back after the lube wears off.
