transfer case problem
The car was at my indy mechanics yesterday for service B1, I mentioned that to the mechanics and ask him to check it out. He said the transfer case was low on fluid, probably from the seal leaking. He filled it up for now, test drove it and said that didn't feel anything after filling it up. He ask me to drive it a bit see if it's better.
My wife drove the car a bit this morning, said it is better, but still can feel/hear some vibration on tight turns... I'm just worry that maybe we have drove it for so long with low fluid level the transfer case is damaged to some extent? From what I read from another thread replacing the transfer case is quite expensive? I guess I mostly want to find out if a little grunting noise / vibration on full lock turns are normal, do we need to replace the transfer case or just repair the seal?
