Camera recalibration after windsheild replaced?
A friend of mine, who doesn't drive a MB, has a crack in their windshield. The insurance company has indicated that they will pay for the windshield but may not cover the re-calibration of these cameras.
Has anyone experienced this yet and if so what was your experience? Seems like they should cover it since these same cameras have (and will certainly in the future) reduce insurance companies rear end accident claims.

I actually got my windshield replace late last summer. I had a ding and it quickly grew across the entire windshield. I have full glass and they said they would cover the replacement. It was brought to my attention that there's a camera there and that they will need to recalibrate it after the windshield replacement. After some mixed up, (they ordered the wrong glass...etc), they got me an oem glass and waited for the manager to come on site to do the recalibration. My insurance covered it all. I believe the claim was about $1500 all in.
