Seatbelt should have protected him, hopefully he's recovering. Maybe the driver didnt have an active MBrace account, not sure if SOS is part of an MBrace feature.

If he was ejected, then he was not wearing a seat belt. He may have walked away from it and gotten himself some help right away if he had been wearing it. Fortunately for him he was down there so long that he avoided a DUI.
