Why isn't the 360 camera standard???
Have a 2018 loaner GLE, which I don't like. Looks like the a GL had a bowl movement and this is what popped out
Anyway, I don't like it, but then put it in reverse and the coolest thing happened with this top view camera that looks like google earth view! Super cool and very accurate. I was blown away. I'm still trying to find out where they are hiding the cameras to do this!? I asked friend who has a 2015 S550 that stickered for $122k, if he liked that feature, and he said his doesn't have it, it's an option. I can't believe this. I know Mercedes is all about safety, but I just figured this one would be standard. This little GLE doesn't even have the push to start option, but has these unreal 360 cameras.
I was blown away. Do a lot of you guys have that option and how common is it on the GL?

I think the 360 degree camera comes with the self parking option. Anyway, have it and love it. Although I don't use the self parking feature, I do use the 360 camera to help me park the car. Granted the small screen and video quality is not as nice as the newer MB's . I too go ta GLE loaner and while the screen is nice, I did not like the tranny. Even in comfort mode and econ mode, it used to downshift abrutply and slowdown instead of coasting.
