GL550 Exhaust upgrade
I am interested in an exhaust upgrade, mostly for the sound and a little performance. I can not find much in terms of aftermarket products to address this situation outside of the Brabus, which requires a new rear bumper. I would really like a “direct bolt on” cat back system with a valve (if possible) that will quiet the SUV up when needed. I see others have welded up straight pipes and such, but that is not what I am looking to do. I am also under warranty and do not want to create any issues there either. Thanks in advance!

Not sure one like you want is available. Best option is likely 63 muffler from cat back. Will be able to use existing diffuser and get more sound. Course the 63 diffuser swap isn’t hard or too $$$. I have swapped mine out and have the 63 tips as well.
I have done catless downpipes, removed resonator with H pipe installed so far and it sounds good. Close to 63 but not quite.
I am planning and have bought a set of QTP electric cutouts but not installed due to repairs needed from an accident. They will be done while car is being repaired and will be done in next 2 weeks. Will post up sound when done.
