Hi All

Anyone have first hand experience of the exhaust noise on the GL63 and now on the GLS63, is the newer version louder, different etc?

I thought I saw somewhere that the GLE63 has an active exhaust option, just interested to know about the various noises from these M157 emgines without an aftermarket change out?

Will a tune change the note on these?

Hi there, so just so happens I can answer your question. I currently own a 2015 GL 63 (lease) and a 2017 GLS 63 (bought). The gl sounds good of course but the gls sounds louder, deeper and just generally more savage. Compared to the gl, the gls has crackling noises on downshifts and over run. Visually, the systems look identical so I think that it could be different tuning.
