Extended warranty question
I am shopping for a pre owned GL550 and am in there process of getting extended warranty info. I contacted Jeff Jackson at Tafel Motors and have received some quotes. They average around $2,300 for 3 additional yrs up to 75k
A couple pled of questions. His quotes are for Factory extended warranty? I have some info from the pre owned dealers for third party warranty services that offer longer terms but are a bit pricier. $3,895 for 4 additional yrs/100k miles.
Do do you recommend I go with the Mercedes warranty quoted by Jeff? What are the benefits? They cover costs directly with the dealer?

I believe its the MB extended warranty. And the only way to know which is better is by comparing the "covered" and "excluded" items of each plan. I'd go with the dealer. Does the dealer offer a $3,895 version of the MB warranty?

Jeff offers genuine Mercedes warranty that you can use at any Mercedes dealer in the US. I would definitely recommend going with the MB warranty over 3rd party warranty since it is backed by MB and you won't have to deal with any BS.
