Rear View Mirror Change Help Please
Hi all
I need to change my rear view mirror, anyone done this or have instructions on how to please?
Im looking for advice about the plastic trim removal then how to uhook the knuckle that fixes the mirror into place, maybe its obvious once the covers are off but Ive not removed them yet.
Am probably going to buy the dash cam kit for it at the same time so a new cover with integrated camaera will go in place of the old one.

Nothing, Im going through a process of changing the light grey roof lining and electrical items to black so this os just anothe step in the transformation.
Grey is awful in my opinin when the car is black on black with black wheels

have the same thing myself, i dont mind the grey headliner, its standard for alot of mercedes. thats a big project in itself, esp if you have the panoramic roof.
If you want some suggestions i suggest to PM the guy in the G class section who is doing a 2002 retrofit of a G-Wagon to make it look like a G63 wagon and he redid the headliner too
Other than that good luck and send pictures when complete

Hey Carlos!
I did this on my x164 gl, but I'm not sure if it is exactly the same as yours.
You pull down on one side of the rear view mirror and it should pop right off. It's a little scary at first but it will come off.
Reinstalling it is a little more difficult, but once you see how the bottom look it should slot right in.
