GL450 towing a Travel Trailer??
Thinking about getting a travel trailer, time to get our family weekends upgraded!
The Micro Winnie 1700BH is 17 feet long, has a dry weight of 3,000lbs. So being ultra conservative the gross weight would be near 4,000 lbs. I know the GL450 is rated at 7500 tow capacity, but has does anyone here actively tow a trailer like this?
In preparation i will have a transmission service done, any other recommendations? There was another post on this forum about an owner overheating while towing similar weighed trailer..
Thanks in advance for any inputs

You should have no trouble towing it. I often tow a utility Trailer with 4000k pounds short distances. All gl have the required and requisite cooling systems for towing standard.
The v8 will be easier to tow with and cause less stress due to the higher torque/hp rating.

Do check the transmission fluid and change it a little more often than spec. But you should be golden.
If your trailer has led lights you will need an adapter.
