Rear entertainment systerm
I have recently purchased a 2014 gl500. The dealer has not given me a remote for the rear entertainment system. Is there any way of using the system without a remote?
we are going on a long road trip soon and need to keep the kids entertained.

There are two MB rear entertainment systems - (1) factory installed system which can also play DVD from front dash to the rear screens or play from rear center console slot to the rear screens (2) MB dealer installed system which plays DVD's from either rear screen/side slots on the screen.
Or there can be aftermarket installed Rear DVD that play from the screens and search for that brand name somewhere on the gear.
If your have MB system - with your VIN# - 1st check with your MB Dealer Parts Dept to find out MB Part# for that remote AND ask if a replacement remote will require "dealer coding".
You can get "correct used remote" with correct part# on eBay - but best if you know upfront if dealer will need to code it or not.
Worst case - get (2) Amazon pads to make them happy for the trip - and return them to Amazon when you get back....
