vibration on highways at 70+ mph

i have '14 GL550 with mid 50k miles currently. all maintenance done by MB dealer so far except for the transmission oil change due.

i've been noticing some vibration at higher speed (typically past 70 mph) on highways that felt little unusual for MB/GL.
lately, i almost constantly feel the awkward vibration at faster speed. has anyone experienced that and know what the cause may be? i think ride was smoother before.

i can feel the vibration on the handle, on the phone placed on air vent magnet, and just looking at how much empty passenger seat headrest rattles.

Potential contributors:

Wheel balance
Wheel alignment
Tire condition (properly inflated, no bulges or missing chunks or significant tread wear)
Steering joint condition (tie rod ends)

When was the last time tires were replaced? Agree with Viha's comment.

Is your driving style one that regularly scrubs tires on curbs, or runs over obstacles in shopping parking lots? It happens to the best of us, and can damage tires, leading to vibration.

I feel the vibration on mine around 70mph as well. I took to the dealer and had them do the road force balance for around $140 and the vibration is gone.

thanks for suggestions. i (and my wife) drive very safely therefore it probably isn't due to our driving style. but there is a good chance something happened to tire or alignment.
i haven't checked the tires for 1 year at minimum now. i have lots of threads left but i guess worth checking it out.

Ditto for us ... 80 MPH is about our internal "speed limit" as otherwise things happen too fast. We like our Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 but suspect they not only develop a slight flat spot overnight, but also may form an impression from the TraxTile garage flooring. Every morning there is a slight vibration for the first few minutes/miles, but it doesn't last long.

We intend to do a complete rotate/align/balance every year and hope to get more than the 12,000 miles we got out of two sets of Continentals!
