Flat bottom steering wheel

Did anyone try to retrofit a AMG or sport package steering wheel to our X166? I have a 2013 GL450 with wood steering wheel and I really want a flat bottom version.
I looked at this style here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-A-...UAAOSwXMxb3fWY

but not sure how easy it is to interchange them.

Anyone?

I would like a diff wheel for our 550 as well. However the 63 wheel is 4 spoke and not 3 like you posted, least for 13-15. The 2016 up 63 had a 3 spoke but was a diff design.

From glance at your post its the most likely compatible but wheels are so damn specific it seems no matter who makes the car. The price is low and worth a shot but might involve a little bit of swapping pins.

Did either of you get this done? I think the steering wheel in the 2013 and similar GLs is absolutely disgusting looking. Would love to change it to another one. Anyone know which ones would work?

no I never pursued it. The car was in an accident in April 2018 and we didn’t get it back until Nov 2018. Long story but since then I havent done much with the car.

I am planning some headlight upgrades like lenses and new sequential white/amber turn signals in the headlight.

when I do that I will ask my buddy at the shop who will help me about maybe pulling wheel off and trying a few options I know they will have laying around.
