07 GL450
I am looking at ditching my E53 X5 and getting an 07 GL450 for the wife. What items do I need to be looking at before purchasing and is this a solid vehicle. I know of many BMW issues but this will be my firs MB. It has 140k and he is asking $10.5k. What do you all think of price?

The 07 is a 164 GL. Air suspension but it is relatively cheap and easy to maintain, trans valve body typically fails before 100k miles, and the balance shaft issue. Overall, my 07 GL 450 has been the cheapest Benz to maintain that I've ever owned. Do a search on the 164 GL forum for.more info.

I think it is a good vehicle, easy to maintain(very subjective) and if you can do the maintenance yourself, not too costly. I would also inquire about the transfer case like has it been replaced and or oil changed.
