I would use vinyl wrap. Easy, cheap, and last. Many color options.

Thanks, i will consider that.
1) is vinyl wrap available in chrome?
2) is it relatively easy to do it myself or better take it to someone who knows what he is doing?

thanks

Chrome is available, but I would go black, silver or stainless. Really easy, heat gun or dryer and a blade.

I used black vinyl on mine. Did it myself not too hard no real previous experience but took my time and was pretty simple. Trim was still in good shape but yours looks to be rough to the touch so the imperfections will show thru the wrap I think.

Thanks for your replies.
Wow, that is very niche job - with black vynil.
I think i prefer Chrome - i will try to find someone who can do that for me- because i am too busy at work recently and do not want to wait too long...
What are pros and cons of vynil wrap compared to repainting?

wrap is faster and cheaper should last the rest of the time you own the car.

How do you remove the upper window trim molding on the GLS 550? It appears to be different than a W205 which is the only other model I've taken them off, and I cannot find a single video or any instructions for removing them.
