remote start usage?

remote start usage?
I got 2017 GLS450 recently. and found mbrace connect me has "remote start" and "lock/unlock" features.
I guess I can "lock" the vehicle if I forgot to lock it. but when do you use "remote start"? I guess "remote start" on GLS450 doesn't turn on heater or airconditioner, right?

I live in cold climate and when I had my Chevy Suburban I used the remote start feature all the time. Leaving the office, remote start the car and by the time you make it to your parking spot the car is warmed up. At the airport hit remote start it as soon as you land and by the time you make it to the car it is warmed up. Unfortunately I don't have this feature in my 2015 GL but if I did I would use it for sure

I just found that it actually turns on the heater or air-conditioner as per the last setting. Cool !
