Battery Questions

So it's been a bit and, for anyone looking in future, wanted to note that the car has been doing fine. I learned:
- A voltage of high 14s while car it running is ok with these cars
- Batteries seem to go quick on these cars relative to others (just an impression I got looking around at posts here and elsewhere).
- A car battery can go bad within 18 months...part of my issue was that I assumed there was no way the battery could have been bad that soon
- When testing a battery, don't test it right after charging it up. Turn on headlights for a couple minutes without engine running to remove the 'surface charge' (someone called it that), then test. I kept seeing the battery in a perfectly fine range, but once I let headlights run for just 2 minutes it dropped pretty quick..apparently that's a good sign of a bad battery
