X166 Door Soft Close Reset

X166 Door Soft Close Reset
I have a 2015 GL 550 with the door soft close feature. This has stopped working on the drivers side door, and a google search turns up a safety system actuation as a possible cause. Before I go to the trouble of trying to replace the soft close mechanism, I was wondering if there was a DIY way to try a reset to see if this is is the issue? The only things I’ve come across say a dealer has to do it, so I don’t know if it requires special software or if I could do it by pulling and reinstalling a fuse or finding it elsewhere in the vehicle settings?

Solution: while the car is "on" not necessarily with engine running, disconnect all power to door module then reconnect.
Hopefully all of you guys with the same issue can fix it this way.
First of all, mine, and likely yours, was never broken. The actuators do break though. So you have to reset correctly to be sure before changing an expensive good part. It just had one of those electronic blockages that happen to every car but then you turn the car off then on and every thing is fine. That's not how it works with Mercedes though. Once you have one of those, the module needs to be reset. So I would disconnect and reconnect the battery but in X166 I've been told that's not an option, but I'm still doing my research.
So I took the door panel off initially to get the actuator out and diagnose the issue. But thought that before removing the window glass and all those other things to get to actuator, why not reset the door module first. People here said to do that, so I did and it worked.
Now it would be more ideal to disconnect the fuse to the door module but the diagram doesn't show it. I'd love to get the fuse if someone knows it.
